In a continuation to ‘Simulation using Simufact’ a hands on Training on ‘Simulation using MasterCAM’ was organised by Department of Mechanical Engg., ZCOER in association with ‘Onward Technologies, Pune’ for the Students of ME (CADME & Design) and. This was successfully conducted on 12th & 13th February, 2016.
Machine and G-Code Simulation:
Machine simulation provides you with additional layers of visualization, so that you can zoom in and zoom out at will, to observe everything that will happen during your machining process. You can move the simulation along very quickly in program segments where you are certain that the part, tool, holder fixtures, and peripheral devices (e.g. robots) are in no danger of colliding. When everything is happening in a confined space, you can slow the simulation down to observe these interrelated movements in slow motion or step through them in block fashion
G-code simulation involves a much more extensive modeling process, which is typically done by the software provider.
This program was scheduled for Two Days with:
- Basics of CAM Programming (Turning, Milling and Multi-Axis Machining)
- Use of Simulation in Machining
- Machine Simulation with G-Code Simulation for Turning
- Machine Simulation with G-Code Simulation for Milling
- Tutorials and Exercises
On receiving feedback from the attendees, the programme was indeed helped the students and faculties to use this software for their further research work and problem solving.
College had fully sponsored this course for the benefit of the students and the faculty members.
The resource person for the said training was Mr Rahul Dhage from Onward Technologies, Pune and co-ordinated by Prof. J. K. Shaikh, PG Coordinator (CADME).
