The department was established in 2007 and offers Graduate, Post Graduate and Doctoral degree programs under the guidance of competent and committed faculty members for delivery of academic programs. Well established state of art infrastructure, modern workshops and well developed laboratories helps students to cope up with the fast changing industrial requirements. To facilitate the academic interest of the students and to keep them on the cutting edge of recent technology, the department has evolved a comprehensive student-centric learning approach through workshops, lab sessions, assignments, hands on training, industrial visits, expert talks of technocrats from industrial sector, seminars, projects and independent study. Department is embedded with eight centers of excellence like Machining Centre (CNC/VMC), Welding, Robotics & Automation, Automobile, Power Plant, Metrology & Quality Control, Electric Vehicle and it helps students to apply their class room knowledge to live industrial problems. Department has affiliation with renowned industries, national and international professional bodies in the field of Mechanical Engineering.
