Institutional Training Program for the subject Energy Audit and Management (Elective 1)

Institutional Training Program for the subject Energy Audit and Management (Elective 1) was successfully conducted at our college campus on 14th September 2015.

Petroleum Conservation Research Association – PCRA (an organization promoted by the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India) conducts Energy Conservation Awareness program for Final Year Engineering students, referred to as Institutional Training Program (ITP).

Mr. A. Y. Mehandale from Enrich Consultancy, Pune (certified Energy Auditor) has first introduced the audience with PCRA organization. He then briefly discussed present energy scenario and need for energy conservation. He also presented some case studies in Energy Conservation that outlined importance and benefits of energy conservation in real life. At the end, he guided students for future prospects in Energy sector such as solar PV, waste energy, BEE Energy Auditor/ Manager, etc.

It was a great lecture where 100 students participated. That program was coordinated by Prof. Ms. Shruti Redkar under the guidance and support of Prof. B. D. Aldar (HOD Mechanical Engineering SECOND SHIFT) and staff of Mechanical Engineering Department.
