About the Teachers Day program:

Teacher’s Day is observed every year on 5th September to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, an eminent scholar, philosopher, and the second President of India. On this occasion, students express their respect, admiration, and gratitude towards their teachers who play a vital role in shaping their future.

The department of Electrical Engineering, Zeal College of Engineering and Research, Narhe, Pune in association with “Electrical Engineering Student Association” has organized Teachers Day celebration program dated 08th September 2026 for faculty members.

Different competitions for teachers:

  1. Welcoming the Teachers

The celebration began with a grand and heartfelt welcome for the teachers, setting the tone for the rest of the day. As a mark of respect and love, the entire school community came together to make the teachers feel valued and honored right from the moment they entered the venue.

  1. Lighting of the Lamp

The Teacher’s Day celebration formally began with the auspicious Lighting of the Lamp ceremony — a timeless Indian tradition that signifies the dispelment of darkness and the ushering in of knowledge and wisdom.

  1. Felicitation Ceremony

One of the most touching parts of the Teacher’s Day celebration was the Felicitation Ceremony, where students took the opportunity to express their heartfelt gratitude and admiration for their beloved teachers through simple yet meaningful gestures.

As part of the ceremony, each teacher was individually called onto the stage, where they were warmly greeted by their students. In a beautiful and symbolic act of appreciation, students presented a single rose flower to each teacher. The red rose, symbolizing respect, gratitude, and love, was chosen for its simplicity and elegance reflecting the pure and selfless bond between teacher and student.

  1. Speeches

The speech segment was both inspiring and heartfelt, featuring students expressing their gratitude and teachers sharing their reflections on the noble profession. Adding a delightful surprise to the occasion, a few teachers also sang songs at the enthusiastic request of the students. Their soulful performances created a warm and joyful atmosphere, strengthening the bond between teachers and students. This blend of thoughtful speeches and heartfelt music made the celebration truly memorable and emotionally uplifting for everyone present.

  1. Fun Games & Activities

To add a lively and entertaining spirit to the Teacher’s Day celebration, several fun games and activities were organized for teachers. These games created an atmosphere of joy and laughter.

  1. Musical Chairs:

Teachers enthusiastically participated in the classic game of musical chairs, moving around the chairs with cheerful energy as music played. The playful competition brought out their fun side, delighting students and staff alike.

  1. b) Guess the thing/item by song:

An interactive party game where players identify a physical object based on clues hidden in song lyrics or audio tracks. A table is filled with various objects, or a single player faces away from a set of items while a themed playlist plays. The host plays a song whose lyrics or title reference a specific object (like a balloon, a ring, or a rose). The active player turns around or races to grab the correct physical item from the table that matches the song’s reference.

  1. c) Pictionary game:

Teams: Players divide into two or more teams. The One player picks a card and views the secret word based on the board’s color category. The drawer has one minute to sketch clues on a board or paper. Teammates shout out guesses continuously while the timer runs. No letters, numbers, spoken words, or hand gestures are allowed while drawing.

  1. Price Distribution

Following the exciting games and activities, the much-anticipated Prize Distribution Ceremony took place. The teachers who showcased their skills, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship were recognized and awarded for their efforts. Prize, gift hampers, were distributed to the winners of each game. The awards not only celebrated their victories but also acknowledged their spirit of participation and fun. The joyful moments of receiving prizes were accompanied by applause and cheers from students and fellow staff members, making the occasion even more memorable and encouraging camaraderie among everyone.

  1. Photos with Students

Capturing the joyous moments was an important part of the Teacher’s Day celebration. Several photographs were taken throughout the event, especially highlighting the warm interactions between teachers and students. These photos, featuring smiles, hugs, and candid moments, beautifully reflected the close bond and mutual respect shared by both. Group photos with teachers and their students were clicked to preserve these memories for years to come. These pictures not only serve as keepsakes but also symbolize the spirit of togetherness and celebration that defined the day.
