On 5th September, birthday of Dr.Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, was celebrated in Mechanical department at seminar hall. His footsteps, the teachers follow, are being proved on Teacher’s Day. Teachers play a major role in making their students responsible citizens of tomorrow and good human beings. It is impossible to imagine our lives without teachers. They are the cornerstone of our future.The performance of students on stage exclusively for teachers were a memorable one. Students from class S.E., T.E. and B.E. were present and exhibited their talents as a treat to the teachers. The students from B.E. expressed their thankfulness to see their teachers and were full of beans. Followed by the speech given by various students one student from final year sang a song on guru vandana for the teachers.
A Guest Lecture on “Cyber Security” was delivered by Mr. Sagar M Parmar is Certified Ethical Hacker and Mr. Anubhav Kumar Lal is Director, Cyber Security Studies and Research Laboratory (CSSRL) Accredited Extension Center Pune. On 27th September 2016 for the target audience of B.E (IT) students.
The speaker explained about Cyber Crime and Cyber Security mechanisms and tools with some live examples. The objective of the Guest lecture was to enlighten the students with the advanced technology in the Cyber Security.
Overall the session was proven to be very inspiring and informative for students.

Mechanical Engineering Student Association (MESA) had organized and celebrated “Engineers Day” in honor of Bharat Ratna Dr. M. Visvesvaraya on 19th Sept. 2016. Prof. H.P. Jagtap and Prof. K.L. Bhoite have coordinated this event with MESA team. The objectives of celebration of Engineer’s Day were
a) To take a pledge to promote and encourage the youth to select for Engineering education.
b) To produce quality Engineers for the bright future of our country.
On the occasion of Engineer’s Day Celebrations many Technical and non technical events were organized in the Department of Mechanical Engineering under Mechanical Engineering Student Association (MESA) in order to inculcate the competitive spirit among the budding engineers. After Inauguration, various technical and non-technical events were organized as mentioned below.
More than 210 students showed their participation in the event. These competitions were an open opportunity for all students and students with the remarkable performances were awarded with attractive Cash Prizes.

An expert lecture on Condition monitoring techniques used in thermal power plant was organized by the department of mechanical engineering for the student of BE. Mr. Hemant Bari (Senior Manager, MTP Dept, Condition Monitoring Cell, Reliance Infrastructure, Dahanu Thermal Power Station) has successfully conducted Expert Lecture for the final year student for the subject Dynamics of Machinery on topic “Condition monitoring techniques used in thermal power plant”. The students of B.E. (Div. D, Div. E) were present for this session and the session was very interesting and interactive. Mr. Hemant Bari explores the importance of condition monitoring techniques used in thermal power plant and the various case studies analyzed at Dahanu thermal power station. The session were very useful from exam point of view for the student which gives the knowledge of fundamentals of vibrations and methodology to solve complex problems related to Power Plant usig condition based maintenance.
Mr. A. Y. Mehendale (Energy Auditor, Enrich Consultants, Pune) has successfully conducted Expert Lecture for the final year student for the subject Energy Audit and Management. The students of B.E. (Div. A, Div. B, and Div. C,) were present for this session and the session was very interesting and interactive. Mr. A. Y. Mehendale explores the importance of Energy Conservation and explains some Case Studies. The session was very useful from exam point of view for the student which gives the knowledge of Concept of Energy Audit and Audit Instruments.
