Smart India Hackathon 2025-2026

“The team Neuro Nexus-A from Zeal College participated in the Smart India Hackathon 2025-2026 under problem statement SIH25133 and received participation certificates.”  

The Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2025 – Software Edition Grand Finale was successfully conducted at QIS College of Engineering and Technology (QISCET), Ongole, Andhra Pradesh, featuring an intense 36-hour continuous competition. The event witnessed the participation of 20 teams working on multiple problem statements.

QISCET was selected as one of the 60 national nodal centers across India and hosted teams from 12 different states. The participating teams addressed problem statements across key domains including Med/Health/Biotech, Student Innovation, Renewable Energy, Sustainability, and Indian Heritage & Culture, showcasing innovation, technical excellence, and collaborative problem-solving.

Event Timeline:

The inauguration was held on December 8, 2025, with Prof. Allam Srinivasa Rao, Vice-Chancellor of Vikrama Simhapuri University, as the Chief Guest, and a virtual inauguration by Prof. T. G. Sitharam, Chairman of AICTE. The evaluation process commenced with the first evaluation at 11:30 AM, followed by the second evaluation at 7:30 PM on December 8. The third evaluation was conducted at 9:30 AM on December 9, and the final evaluation took place at 5:30 PM. The results were declared at 8:00 PM. Additionally, an online interaction meeting with a Central Minister was held from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM on December 9.  

Key Highlights:

A total of four problem statements were allocated to QIS and were evaluated by 14 jury members over a span of two days. Winners in each category were awarded a cash prize of ₹1.5 lakh. The winning teams included Tattvavarse/Netaji Ninjas in the Heritage and Culture category, OPtiverse in the Med/Bio/Edu Tech category, Innovit 1856 in the Miscellaneous category, and Solar Masters in the Renewable Energy category. The event concluded with high appreciation for QISCET’s excellent hospitality and the seamless execution of the coding marathon.  

Conclusion

The hackathon, organized by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MIC) in association with AICTE, successfully fostered innovation across the nation. While winners from QIS were duly recognized, participating teams such as Neuro Nexus-A also gained valuable hands-on experience and received participation certificates. The valedictory ceremony was graced by Prof. D. V. R. Murthy, Vice-Chancellor of Andhra Kesari University, who conferred prizes to the winners.
