International Women’s Day conducted at Department of Robotics & Automation

The International Women’s Day celebration was organized on March 7th, 2026, at the B Building, Room B3-03, from 02:30 pm to 05:00 pm. This event was initiated by the Students Association of Robotics & Automation (SARA) to recognize the achievements and contributions of women in fields such as science, technology, and society.

The activity details are as follows:

Speech Competition: Women’s Empowerment and Role in Science & Tech

Class: Students of FY, SY, TE, BE

Event Highlights:

  • Theme: The competition focused on “Women’s Empowerment and the Role of Women in Science and Technology”.
  • Topics Covered: Students presented on breaking gender stereotypes, women in leadership, and challenges in the modern workplace.
  • Format: Participants delivered 3-minute speeches in Marathi, Hindi, or English.
  • Judging Criteria: Students were evaluated on relevance, structure, diction, delivery, content, clarity, and time management.

Winners of the Speech Competition:

  1. Winner: Smilee Meshram (FY – Div B)
  2. 1st Runner Up: Pranjal Ramprasad Dhakne (SY – Div A)
  3. 2nd Runner Up: Sapkal Janhavi Nilesh (FY – Div A)
