The Civil Engineering Department of Zeal College of Engineering and Research, Pune, organized an industrial visit to the Hot Mix Plant at Yerwada, Pune, on 15th October 2025.

A total of 110 students participated in the visit under the guidance of Prof. R. B. Matkar and Prof. A. R. Bansode.

The visit aimed to provide practical exposure to the production of bituminous mixes used in road construction. Students gained insights into the working of the hot mix plant, material handling, mixing processes, temperature control, and quality control measures.

The visit successfully bridged the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical applications in highway engineering, enhancing students’ understanding of modern road construction techniques.
