As a part of industrial visit of Pune University curriculum for the subject, GD&T, we had successfully visited, PV Clean Mobility Technology Chakan Pune on 15th Nov 2024.

This was good opportunity for the students to interact with industrial experts and understanding the practical knowledge of engineering. The students studied in the field of basic Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing concepts, various geometric and dimension tolerances based on type of fit and surface roughness symbols based on manufacturing process for second year mechanical engineering students. The students be aware to measure and verify position tolerances with applied material conditions during the visit. Total Seventy (76) second year students (S.E. A,B ) were presents for this visit.

This industrial visit was very useful for the students and teachers from knowledge point of view. The details of Outcomes of visit are as follows.

1. Understand requirements of industrial drawings
2. They can read, understand and explain basic Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing concepts
3. They can apply various geometric and dimension tolerances based on type of fit
4. They can understand surface roughness symbols based on manufacturing process
5. They can measure and verify position tolerances with applied material conditions
6. They can understand requirements for manufacturing and assembly.
