Expert Session on CyberSecurity

On 10th January 2023, the Cyborg Club organized an Expert Session on Cyber Security led by ACP Sunil Pawar, a renowned expert in law enforcement and cybersecurity. The session aimed to educate students from the Electronics and Telecommunication (ETC) Department about the evolving field of cybersecurity, its importance, and the role of law enforcement in combating cybercrime. The session provided students with insights into practical cybersecurity challenges, the future of digital security, and the skills required to safeguard online environments. Objectives:
  1. Raise Awareness on CyberSecurity Threats: The event aimed to increase awareness about the growing risks and challenges in the field of cybersecurity, highlighting common cyber threats such as phishing, ransomware, and hacking.
  2. Bridge the Gap Between Academia and Industry: The session provided students with an opportunity to interact with an industry expert, bridging the gap between academic knowledge and practical, real-world cybersecurity issues.
  3. Develop Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: By understanding the real-life implications of cybersecurity, students were encouraged to think critically and develop problem-solving skills related to protecting digital infrastructure and data.
