Expert Lecture- Power Sector Scenario and Green Energy Initiatives of MSEDCL

Introduction

The Department of Electrical Engineering of ZES, ZCOER has organized a Expert Lecture/Industry Interaction session on “Power Sector Scenario and Green Energy Initiatives of MSEDCL”, on 04/10/2024 for Third Year aspirant graduates.

Expert Lecture session is intended for T.E. aspiring engineers who seek to explore,

2030: 500GW from renewable energy

2050: Energy independence

History: Third, 4lacs 50,000MW

By 2047, 8lac GW 238MW has been borrowed as yet. If generation capacity is not increased, load shedding will have to be started. This increase in generation has to be from renewable resources.

Energy sector requires people with high critical quotient. If a HV cable falls down the road and there’s a traffic jam, the high CQ authority has to take immediate action to immediately normalise the situation. Sustainable energy growth: United Nations is global institution working on sustainable goals (17) development. Climate change has taken temperature to 40s which was in 30s. Ozone layer depletion is caused due to emissions. One such goal in these 17 is clean and green source of energy.

Chandrapur has become one of the most polluted due to presence of thermal power plant. Hence thermal power generation nas to be reduced. In India, we get more than 300 sunny days. Hence solar generation should be focused. Distributed generation will be a good
