The Department of Mechanical Engineering at ZCOER organized an insightful alumni session titled “Career Transformation of a Mechanical Engineer: ERP Expertise and Gulf Opportunities”, the session was conducted by Mr. Rishikesh Bidgar, ERP Functional Consultant, Meydan Free Zone – Business Setup, Dubai, UAE.

 The objective was to guide F. Y. B. Tech students about job opportunities

Contents Covered:

  • Career journey from Mechanical Engineering to becoming an ERP Functional Consultant.
  • Importance of ERP systems in industries, required technical and functional skills, career transition strategies, certification pathways.
  • Job opportunities available in the Gulf region for Mechanical Engineers. Insights into work culture, industry expectations, and growth prospects in ERP-related roles were also discussed.

Objective of the Session:

The primary objective of the session was to guide first-year Mechanical Engineering students about diverse career opportunities, particularly in ERP domains, and to create awareness about global job prospects in the Gulf countries.

Outcome of the Session:

Students gained clarity on non-traditional career paths for Mechanical Engineers and understood how ERP skills can enhance employability.
