Zeal TVC

The Engineering Science (FE) Department offers a course which is a unique blend of fundamental subjects like Engineering Mathematics, Engineering Physics, Engineering Chemistry and core engineering subjects like Basic Electrical Engineering, Basic Electronics Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Engineering Graphics, Systems in Mechanical Engineering, Project Based Learning and Programming & Problem Solving.

The multi-disciplinary department has been formed with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Mechanical, Computer, Electronics, Electrical and Civil Engineering teachers in association with all the programs of Engineering through Engineering Mathematics III at SE level and Optimization Techniques at ME level. The Department is well equipped with state of art Laboratories and LCD enabled classrooms to assist in the face to face teaching process.

The intake capacity of First Year Engineering is 840. In 2007, the course commenced with four programs i.e. Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Engineering and Information Technology. The years 2008 and 2012 witnessed the addition of two new courses in Electrical Engineering and Civil Engineering respectively.

The assessment plans are scheduled in the form of five unit tests, and prelim examinations to improve the overall academic performance of the student. Expert lectures are employed as a way to foster the overall growth of the young minds.

All the faculty members of the department are highly qualified and equipped with new teaching methodologies like MOOC, Virtual Lab, YouTube video lectures and Google Classrooms. Faculty members encourage the students for an in-depth-learning process in order to sharpen their basic skills. They also regularly attend Faculty Development Programs to enhance their knowledge and sharpen delivery apart from participating in various seminars and conferences. Thus, the students of First Year will be confident to solve problems in their respective programs of Engineering when they progress to their chosen area of specialization in the Second Year.
