The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning successfully organized a Guest Lecture on “Artificial Neural Network” for Third Year AIML students. The session was delivered by Dr. Sarita Patil, esteemed faculty member from MIT World Peace University held on 28th February 2026.The program commenced with the felicitation of the guest speaker by the Head of Department, Dr. Dipali Shende, who warmly welcomed Dr. Patil and expressed gratitude for sharing her expertise with the students
Dr. Sarita Patil shared her in-depth knowledge and expertise on the fundamentals and advanced concepts of Artificial Neural Networks (ANN),working principles, and real-world applications. Also explained fundamental concepts such as perceptron models, activation functions, backpropagation algorithms, and the role of ANN in modern AI systems. She also highlighted practical applications of neural networks in areas like image processing, natural language processing, healthcare, and predictive analytics. The program was effectively coordinated by Prof. Majiri Chumble, ensuring smooth organization and active participation from students.
