CNC – VMC Programming

Program Overview:

The TE Internship Program, initiated on December 23, 2024, is designed to provide students with hands-on training in various advanced manufacturing techniques and software. The program is being conducted at three different locations, focusing on the following core subjects:

Internship 1 at B103

SolidWorks with UG NX – CAD software for product design and development

Internship 2 at B109

CNC/VMC Training – Practical training on Computer Numerical Control (CNC) and Vertical Machining Centers (VMC).

Internship 3 at Workshop

Digital Manufacturing with Wood Routing Machine – Application of digital manufacturing techniques using wood routing machines.

The internship is structured to ensure students gain valuable exposure to the latest industry practices and improve their practical skills across these subjects. The internship is being conducted at three locations, ensuring accessibility and variety in training environments.
More than 90% of the students are attending the internship regularly across the three different time slots.

Program Impact and Outcomes:

The ongoing internship provides students with critical industry exposure and skill development. With continuous participation and dedication, students are mastering key areas of modern manufacturing technology, particularly in design, machining, and digital manufacturing processes. This hands-on experience is helping bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.
