As per the curriculum of SavitribaiPhule Pune University, it is necessary that students should visit industries/ research institutes/ exhibitions to get practical knowledge and ongoing activities in the field of Robotics and Automation Engineering. On the same note, the Department of Robotics and Automation Engineering Department had organized an industrial visit at FlexiMech Automation Engineers, Narhe, Pune on 30th December 2022 to give practical exposure to students about Material Science and Manufacturing Process which was already part of second year academics.

Total 58 students and 2 faculties visited FlexiMech Automation Engineers, Narhe, Pune in two batches at a time and after visiting one industry the batches were swapped. During the visit students and faculties interacted with various workstations in the industry where various materials of belt conveyors and various manufacturing process used in fabrication of material handling system were done. Instructors from the industry explained manufacturing techniques used and materials used in the company. Students had various interactive sessions on the different workstations. Along with the manufacturing and material aspect of the material handling systems the students were given the opportunity to see the functioning as well.
