Objective:
The objective of this workshop was to communicate different CNC Programming & Simulation.

Summary:
Manufacturing holds a key position in the Indian economy, to meet the industry’s current scenario, CNC machining and programming plays an important role. To enhance students’ expertise in the field of machining, 5-day Hands-on training program on CNC Programming & Simulation was scheduled. The training was conducted in 8 batches for final-year mechanical engineering students at the Machining Excellence Center of Zeal College of Engineering and Research in Pune.

The training was planned for final year mechanical engineering students which started from 10/07/2023 to 14/07/2023. 5 days of training were conducted for each division which includes 2D drawing generation for turning operation, Raw material setting & Tool parameters. Students were exposed to the DO-NC Simulator. Through these sessions, they were able to understand the work of simulators in Tool offset settings, Tool management, Tooling parameters, and MPP generation. On the last day online test was conducted through Microsoft Teams to evaluate students’ performance. This program was conducted by Prof. Gandigude A.U. under the guidance of the HOD Mechanical Engineering Department at the Machining Excellence Center of Zeal College of Engineering and Research Pune.
