“ADVANCED TRAINING ON GEOMETRIC DIMENSIOINIG & TOLERANCES”

 Department Of Mechanical Engineering, Zeal College of Engineering & Research, Pune-41

A three days faculty development programme on “ADVANCED TRAINING ON GEOMETRIC DIMENSIOINIG & TOLERANCES” under Department Of Mechanical Engineering, was held at the Zeal College of Engineering & Research, Pune-41, under the patronage of Mechatol Engineering Solutions, Pune from 09th to 11th December, 2019. The FDP aims to provide opportunities to faculty members, research scholars and post graduate students to enrich their teaching skill and research in the field of engineering design and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerances. The Programme also intends to develop the blue print reading, manufacturing & inspection approach of participants for with advanced industrial examples in the relevant field for inculcating learning values in students and guiding and monitoring their progress.

INAUGURAL SESSION:-

Prof. Ayub Tamboli, HOD, Department of Mechanical Engineering, welcomed all the respected dignitaries and participants. Prof. Chandrakant Prabhune, appreciated the program organized by Department of mechanical in his speech. Prof. Akash Suryavanshi, Dean Academics also encouraged for such activities. Prof. Pramod Magade, FDP Coordinator highlighted the need for organizing the faculty development program and also emphasized the benefits of such kind of resourceful activity.

1st Day (09/12/19) Session I: Mr. Anand Bhise, Director, Mechatol Engineering Solutions, Pune has delivered keynote address on “Drawing reading skills: Current status and Future prospects”, importance of GD & T. In this session participants were learned the Blue print reading, application of blue print reading and its effect on cost of materials, manufacturing and also to enhance the conversion efficiency of design engineer.

1st Day (09/12/19) Session II: Mr. Anand Bhise, has delivered an interactive lecture on difference between position tolerance and plus minus tolerance. Datum selection process from assembly and manufacturing approach. Concept and calculations of bonus tolerance, material modifier conditions MMC, LMC, RFS.

2nd Day (10/12/19) Session I: Mr. Anand Bhise, has delivered a lecture on dimensioning systems, unit systems, functional dimensioning system. In this session participants were learned the floating fastner calculation for assembly stack and assembly shift calculations for assembly clearance fit. In this session participants were learned the step by step procedure and different techniques regarding designing.

2nd Day (10/12/19) Session II: Mr. Anand Bhise, discussed about the interference and clearance fit calculations for two part assembly. Actual calculation were performed for a part where wall thickness has to be calculated for a single part analysis.

3rd Day (11/12/19) Session I: In this session participants were gained with the knowledge on blue print reading techniques for assembly drawing and part drawing. He inspired the participants to work on real time industrial drawings with system using ASME standards for engineering drawing. Manufacturing and inspection technology and also gave some guidelines on it.

3rd Day (11/12/19) Session II: In this session participants realized the significance of inspection process through different process equipments like vernier caliper etc. Acceptance or rejection reports for QC based on gauge design.

VALEDICTORY SESSION: The honorable personalities present in this occasion were Mr. A Bhise, Director, Mechatol Engineering Solutions, Pune. Dr. Ajit M Kate, Principal, ZCOER, Pune. Prof. A. A. Tamboli, HOD, Mechanical Engineering, summarized the program. All the personalities appreciated the department for organizing the FDP- 2019, at Department of Mechanical Engineering. The program was ended with participant feedback, certificate distribution and vote of thanks was given by Prof. A. R. Suryavanshi, Dean Academics.

OUTCOME: All the sessions were very much informative. The discussed areas are of great benefit for the participants as the topics match with the current working domain. Participants were enlightened with the most widely used advance technologies in this domain. This in turn will help in research activity and placement opportunity.

Tribute to Pulwama Terror Attack Martyrs

 Zeal college Pays Tribute to Pulwama Terror Attack Martyrs
Zeal college of Engineering and Research candled light and paid tribute to the martyrs of Pulwama of Srinagar blast based terror attack on CRPF convoy, in memory of 40 CRPF soldiers who lost their lives on 14th Feb 2019. Mr.Jayesh katkar the Executive director of Zeal college , called for candle light as a remembrance of the martyred CRPF soldiers in the campus. While all faculty members and students of Zeal college assembled at campus, that included the  Campus director Dr. Sanjay Deokar, principal of ZCOER, Dr. A.M. Kate, Head of Information Technology department , faculty members from It department and students were present,They all observed two minutes silence to pray for the brave hearts, the real heroes of India who sacrificed their lives in service of the nation, the motherland India and its national fellows. Executive director sensitized students, faculty members on the cause of India’s security and respect for Indian Army and immense sacrifice by the soldiers.

bronze medal in Redhat Hackathon Competition.

Information Technology students won bronze medal in Redhat Hackathon Competition.

IRT Technology nashik in association with Redhat organized Redhat Hackathon Competition at G H Raisoni College of Engineering Wagholi on dated 11 Feb, 2019.
Guest of Honor Mr.Shirish Pandey RHA Program Manager APAC, Dr.K.K. Paliwal Respected Director GHRCEM, Mr.Gayas Shaikh Director IRT Technologies Pvt.Ltd had gress the ceremony.
Students from second year of information technology department were participated in this competition. Bronze Medal Awarded to Zeal College of Engg & Research.
Student Participants & College Representatives where also awarded with RedHat RHA Challenge Certificates, RedHat Pens Caps Bags Merchandise.

Project exhibition at IT department

On 8 April 2019 IT department of zeal college of Engineering organized Mini Project Exhibition.
Inauguration of the Project Exhibition is done by the Principal Dr. Ajit M. Kate sir and Dr. S.D. Shirbahadurkar sir (Head of Department E&TC, Dean Academics) with the presence of Dr.S.A.Ubale madam (Head of Department IT) and all IT faculty members.
Students have given very positive response towards event.

Parent Meet

Parent meet was conducted by Department of Information Technology for SE, TE and BE classes on 29th September 2018. The meet started with the welcome address by Prof.S.P.Vanjari. HOD IT Dr.S.A. Ubale Guided parents in all respect.

1.     HOD IT Dr.S.A.Ubale discussed about norms about attendance and suggested parent to take timely status of attendance from their ward also.
2.     Eligibility criterion for placements and steps towards academic result improvement was also explained by Dr S.A.Ubale.
3.     HOD IT Dr.S.A.Ubale introduced IT Department and elaborated the Professional skill development courses, examination scheme and purpose of parent meet.
4.     HOD IT, Dr.S.A.Ubale elaborated all the activities conducted in semester and reviewed all academics.
5.     Training and Placement Coordinator Prof.N.R.Shikalgarkar elaborated the Training and Placement cell scheme, placement scenario.
On 20th of January 2019
Teachers, Parents Meeting was held on 20th of January 2019 at 11.30 am in the seminar Hall of Information Technology Department  Many parents were present for the meeting We received very good response from the parents. The meet started with the welcome address by Prof. S. P. Vanjari.
1.     HOD IT, Dr. Ubale  explained the importance of the parent teacher meeting. Also suggested reviewing attendance of December  and January of their ward available with Guardian Faculty Member.
2.     HOD IT, Dr. Ubale  mam explained activities taken in departments for this academic year like, Days Celebrations, Gathering Celebration , placement details etc
3.     HOD IT, Dr. Ubale gave introductory  remark regarding Project Exhibition to be held on 25th March   and Online exam for Second Year students
4.     Academic Coordinator Prof.Joshi P.A explained the importance of attendance in classroom teaching and maintaining discipline in the college premises also discussed about Term work assessment.

Visit to Acrex India 2019 Exhibition

40 Students of TE mechanical Engineering Visited Acrex India 2019, South Asia’s largest Exhibition on Air conditioning, Heating, Ventilation, and Intelligent Buildings on 1st march 2019 in Mumbai. Student got exposure to packaged chillers, Air handling and distribution products, Air conditions, Refrigeration accessories etc.

first prize in Mega ATV Championship held at goa

Students of Zeal college of engineering & research have won first prize in Mega ATV Championship held at goa. Team have won prizes in different categories including Drag Race, Solo Dirt Race, Flat Dirt race, Endurance night Race. total prize money in the said categories are about Rs. 210000
