Design of Three Phase Induction Motor

About the Hands-on session: This hands-on session is intended only for T.E. students who seek to explore the impact of Design of Three Phase Induction Motor in their project work. It doesn’t matter how much natural talent anengineer has, he can still improve in a skill by practicing that is one of the advantage of hands on training. Training programs are more beneficial when they provide many opportunities for practicing skills. This hands-on session covers basic concepts, Design aspects, material selection and market survey and its assembly, testing & its applications in various areas.

The  Department  of  Electrical Engineering  of ZES, ZCOER  has  organized  a  hands-on training on  “Design of Three Phase Induction Motor”, dated on 16th to 18th March, 2019 for TE-A& TE-B students

Mr. Manoj R. Hans gave introduction regarding the overview of content to be covered. The first session was conducted by Mr. Sudhir Mane in which all basic laws were taught and next session was conducted by Mr. Vishal Tathe in which hands on demonstration of laws given.
In the afternoon session, the numerical on design of Three phase Induction motor is taught by Mr. Sudhir Mane and students were given problems for practice.  The  entire  session  was  very  interactive  and the  students have been  demonstrated  with  various  material and equipments.

ZEAL DRAG 3.0 (2019)

Graduates of Engineering Colleges in India are technically brilliant; however, they lack necessary soft skills as highlighted by the corporate world in field of especially in Automobile sector. To remedy this issue, in March 2016, a Zeal Skill Development Centre (ZSDC) was initiated in Zeal College of Engineering and Research.

This center helps students to improve their employability and allow them to excel in their professional careers. And to develop it further we organize “National level Go-Karting championship event- “ZEAL DRAG” from 2017.

The objective of this event is to support the skill India program by Government of India. Participants will be the undergraduate students of engineering college across the country. They have to design and manufacture Go Kart Vehicle which will test their designing and manufacturing capabilities and provide them opportunity to enhance the same. During the competition students will interact with eminent personalities from industries who will judge them on their knowledge and creativity. Student community will be benefited as it will serve as a platform to strengthen their vehicle design and manufacturing domain while studying the course. The entire event is organized at ZCOER campus, Pune. Students of Engineering Institutes will be benefited out of this activity.

This is our 3rd season of event ZEAL DRAG 3.0. Event was successfully completed on 16th to 19thMarch 2019. Total 23 team were participated from allover India. Total participate was 600 and 100 volunteers.

Day-1 (17th March) was started with TI Test (Technical Inspection) and Brake Test of all karts. On day-2 (18th March) we allowed for Dynamic events those were completed IT and Brake test like Autocross, Skidpad , Drag race.  Day-3 (19th March) was for Endurance race and “Tug of War”.

The main Attraction of tournaments is Tug of War Competition. TUG OF WAR  (one kart pull to another kart in opposite direction). It was first Tug of war of go-karts in India. Nominated testers from automobiles and racing fields were also present for the examinations of all the fairs in the competition, and their guidance was also provided to the team participants.

The competition is getting a huge response every year and the students get the opportunity to demonstrate their skills in automobile field. The prize money for winners for different category of rupees 3.65 lakh was given to teams.

The event was covered by the leading newspaper and radio channel. The event is already popular amongst engineering students. It is been loved and appreciated by every single person who visits it. Students take back not only experiences but also beautiful memories. It helps to hone our skills and capabilities.

The entire event was organized by Prof. Jayesh Katkar (Executive Director Zeal Education Society), Dr. Sanjay Devkar(Campus Director Zeal Education Society ) and Dr.Ajit Kate (Principal of the ZCOER), , Dr. Amol Ubale Head of the Department of Mechanical, Prof. Ayub Tamboli, Prof. Pravin Parit and Prof.Akshay Karande.

Visit at BSNL Exchange RTTC, BSNL, PIMPRI-CHINCHWAD, PUNE

The Electronics & Telecommunication department of Zeal College of Engineering and Research arranges various kinds of Workshops & Visits on continuous basis to enhance student’s practical & technical skill and to make them compatible with industry. To fulfill departmental goal and industry need Electronics & Telecommunication department has organized ‘BSNL’ visit so that students will get knowledge about networking. For final year engineering student have Mobile Communication subject. So to improve practical knowledge about mobile communication we have organized this visit. Training was planned in 3 parts by the BSNL administration. Part 1: Theoretical Base Building. Part 2: MSC Visit & PSTN Demo. Part 3: Visit to MTSO & Power Supply section. The training was started and had a introduction lecture on the basics of Data Communication. During this Introduction lecture the faculty member delivered simple and all the basic information related to data communication. Mr. Borawale & Mr. Jadhav Guided our student about BSNL actual working. They have given good knowledge about Tower, MSC,BSC, MTSO, PSTN etc.

A workshop on PCB and Circuit Designing

Department of E&TC, Zeal College of Engineering & Research. Pune As per SPPU syllabus, TE students have ESMP subject i.e. Employability skill & Mini Project. So students are supposed to design mini project as per their knowledge. So to enhance the basic building techniques & designing we have organized this workshop. The workshop was aimed to provide knowledge about simulation tool to test electronics & electrical circuit in software environment & to form a PCB(Printed Circuit Board), PCB design software named PCB 123 & to make physical PCB at home so that any student can make project on his own. The workshop was conducted by Mr. C.R.Mahajan CEO, Dolphin Lab, Pune.

Following content were covered in workshop:

 (1) Schematic Design

2) Component Footprint Design

 (3) Integrated Library Design

(4 ) PCB Design & Routing

(5) Itching of PCB

E-yantra Lab Inauguration & Valedictory function

e-Yantra is a project initiated by IIT Bombay sponsored by Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) through the National Mission on Educating through ICT (NMEICT). Zeal education Society has developed Embedded System & Robotic lab named as ‘Zeal e-yantra Robotic Center’ which is Inaugurated on 28/12/2018.

This lab is developed by a team of Teachers:

From Zeal Education Society’s by performing hands on experiments in a step-byStep manner with continuous efforts from June 2018 to Dec. 2018. For this purpose we have got 3 day’s Training at IIT Bombay, which was based on various tasks which we would have to complete in coming challenges. The total six tasks were assigned by IIT Bombay under Tasked Based Training (TBT). Each Task was composed of two Stages, out of which first stage is Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) carrying 30 marks of Weight. Second stage composed of two experiments based on various operations on AVR Microcontroller Atmega 2560. We have performed all these experiment in Atmel Studio Software. After successful completion of all these tasks, we are invited for online Inauguration by IIT Bombay. The lab is inaugurated by Principal ZCOER, Dr. Ajit Kate Sir, HOD E&TC Dr.S.D.Shirbahadurkar & all the Teaching Staff, Students from all departments.
